Community is the no.1 priority for Build to Rent property developer, Essential Living. The team promises to ‘nurture meaningful relationships and help you connect to a group of people you’re proud to be a part of’. Well, you know what they say – the proof is in the pudding. So here are 5 things the HomeViews team discovered while getting to know the developments. And, more importantly, what our reviewers had to say…
1. They’ve got an on-site A Team
Ok, so we added the ‘A’, but you get the gist. Each Essential Living development has a dedicated Residents Team on-hand 24/7. And HomeViews reviewers adore them. The team helps you settle in and get to know the building, resolves maintenance issues, takes in parcels and bookings for private events, organises socials (see point number 4), and generally acts like a very friendly, very helpful extra flatmate.
HomeViews Reviewers say…
“No home is perfect but Berkshire House & the staff from Essential Living that run it come close.” – Rachel
“Living in Vantage Point has been nothing but a pleasure. The residents team are all lovely and always there to help. The amenities are lovely, always clean, and makes it feel like a home away from home. After moving from NY, I knew the adjustment was going to be challenging but Vantage Point did many things to make it less hard. Always greeting me when I walked in, demonstrating their effort to have a small chat whenever I would get back from a long day, and always being so welcoming.” – Anon
“The Berkshire House management team go above and beyond to help and make life admin seriously easy allowing you to enjoy other things!” – Lucy Watson
2. They prioritise space for mingling
Lots of property developers stop at a flowery communal courtyard or two, and use any extra space to make more £££ (penthouse floors anyone?). Not Essential Living, though. Instead, they pay close attention to shared areas at every development, kitting them out with the likes of games rooms, lounges, and furnished rooftop terraces just right for after-work beers.
Dressage Court resident says…
“As soon as you get a flat in Dressage Court, you already feel at home. It offers a few extras you won’t find anywhere else, from a cycle storage room to a gym, not to forget the amazing rooftop with a stunning view of London.” – Aurélien S
3. They’ll add you as a friend
Each Essential Living development has a dedicated (closed) Facebook page, that lets you get to know your neighbours before meeting face-to-face. Because let’s be honest, it can be pretty daunting moving in somewhere solo. It’s also where you can compete for things like the best pet selfie, and where to find regular posts written for Essential Living’s dedicated blog. They’re packed with useful nuggets of info, such as recommendations for the best pubs in the area. Keep an eye out for event updates from the Residents Team, too.
4. They arrange regular socials
Whether it’s Saturday morning breakfast en masse, a Friday cocktail Happy Hour or a wine and cheese night, Essential Living residents can expect regular get-togethers with other occupants. It helps everyone to find the Joey & Chandler to their Monica & Rachel. Or vice-versa.
Essential Living residents say…
“The resident team is always so helpful. The building organises many events throughout the year so that the residents feel like they are a part of a community. Absolutely love living here!” – Nirofer R on Dressage Court
“The building has managed to build a great community of people who are happy to interact and engage with one another. All in all, a great place to live.” – Connor Ryan on Vantage Point
5. They make wellbeing a focus
All Essential Living properties feature a top-of-the-range gym, coupled with on-site PTs who run weekly yoga and circuit classes. It’s all designed to keep mind, body and soul in check and make new friends at the same time. Because you know, tenants who train together… If you’re feeling brave, you can book in for one-on-one sessions with the PTs, as well.
