Introducing Dale Wild

Amy: Hi, it’s Amy from Property Investments UK. Today, I’m here with Dale Wild from Landlord Furniture Co. and Pegasus Property Investments. Thank you so much for joining us today, Dale.

Dale: You’re welcome.

Amy: I’m really excited to learn more about what you’ve been doing over the last couple of years.

Dale: Thanks for having me.

Amy: And thanks so much for joining us, today. Tell us a little bit about you and your background and what you do with your businesses.

Dale: Okay. I joined the army at 16. I served nine years in Afghanistan and Iraq and I came out, worked overseas for a short period of time, and then I decided to get involved in property investing.

Find Out More about Dale WIld and Landlord Furniture Co.

Furniture designed by landlords for landlords. By far the strongest furniture on the market.

HMOs, serviced accommodation and buy-to-let, made in-house and custom built to any size and style.

Dale: So, I went to a few of the property events, here in Manchester, started to learn a few things and invested my first lump of capital into a few buy-to-lets.

Amy: I think I remember seeing you start out because we started at about the same time, I think. I remember watching you grow.

I’m excited to talk to you today to see where you’ve gone because I know you’ve done amazing things over that last few years.

Dale: We’ve got really busy. We’ve been going seven years now.

So, I’ve got a few joint venture partners within the property business. We’ve gone into HMOs. I’ve just bought a pub and we’re going to be converting that into an 18-bed HMO. And then on the back of that, with having so many HMOs, we’ve managed quite a few as well, we decided to set up a furniture business aimed at landlords or HMOs and serviced apartments.

We’re 18 months in now and we’re getting stronger and stronger. We’re really busy.

Amy: I know you are busy with your furniture company because we’re friends on Facebook and I see everybody tagging you, telling others to, ‘Get Dale for your furniture’.

You’ve become pretty renowned for supplying the HMOs with furniture, across the industry, I think.

Dale: Yeah. It was weird. I remember sitting there at night on the phone, selling furniture at 11:30.

It went kind of busy, overnight.

We sell very similar products to our competitors but our products are unique to us, or 90% of the products are unique to us.

So, we’ve made them for landlords and we know they’re going to last. You’ve seen the videos that we’ve put online of the jump tests and we’ve got a video, coming soon, with a rugby team stood on them.

It’s a bit gimmicky but it’s the truth, you know, there’s no lie behind it.

Now we’re getting in with some of the bigger investors and they’re shouting our name from the rooftops because they’ve seen the product.

They’ve seen other people’s products and they choose to stay with us and it’s great.

Amy: Honestly, I know I’ve seen so much great feedback about the products that you’re putting into properties and they’re lasting and they’re great for HMOs.

So, I think we need to come down and have a look at one of your ones for the next series and we can come and see how you stage them and the sort of products that you’re designing, too.
